Do you believe that one of the most powerful tools God uses for wooing others to Himself is YOUR story? There’s hardly anything more threatening to the enemy of our souls than this- except the Sacrificial Blood of the Lamb, Jesus. The word of your testimony helps to push back the darkness.
Today’s guest is a dear friend and mentor to me; Bonnie Keen, who has a story that you might relate to in more ways than one. Even if you’ve never sung back up for Amy Grant or played one of the evil step sisters in Steven Curtis Chapman’s “Cinderella.”
Bonnie reflects on the Hand of Providence who led her and protected her through some unstable beginnings…. She escaped danger… most times. Through it all, her faith enabled her to stand and continue following Grace’s lead and He gave her a song in the shadowlands.
You’ll hear how her success in the music business and in the theater world starts and ends with relationships. Now she has a platform in places many of us just read about….This is part one of a two parter and it will give you a good idea who she is. Next week, she’ll tell us how to know when it’s ok to forgive on a vertical plane and not necessarily horizontal. (I’ll let her explain that one.)
I will remind you about the frother giveaway too. If you’d like to win a brand new shiny frother to take your spiced chai to a whole nodda lebbel, enter on instagram or Facebook. Simply post a photo of you and your favorite mug with this hashtag; my #myfrotherandme And for your caption, answer me this; What would you take with you on a deserted island besides your frother? My frother and ____. (You fill in the blank.) Tag me too so I don’t miss ya! @heylovepodcast
Bonnie’s charity of choice is Mercy Multiplied (formerly known as Mercy Ministries.) Go check out their wishlist and see if you can help them as they push back the darkness in the lives of young women.

Till next time,
ps- If you haven’t heard the song Bonnie refers to in the first few minutes of her interview ( the one she sang in nightclubs in her pre-Amy Grant days) called “Do it till You’re Satisfied,” listen to the outtakes at the very end; ya might just hear a snippet of my own rendition. :0)
