You are about to hear from one of my very own teaching pastors and I am so excited about that! He’s also a dear friend- Lloyd Shadrach. We’ll weave in and out between his up close, personal interview and excerpts from a sermon he delivered on the implications of the incarnation. He likens the birth of Christ to a pop up tent. (WHAT???– It makes sense; trust me.)This tent theme takes me back to the first Beth Moore study ever published…. A Woman’s Heart, God’s Dwelling Place- which was all about God “pitching His Tent” and moving into our neighborhood 🙂 Did you do that one? If ya haven’t, work on it over break!!! http://lfwy.co/2kNZ7LxLloyd lays it all out for us; the gospel is clearly seen in that God made a way for us through His Son. We had a need, God met that need by sending us a little package of Grace wrapped up in a baby… and once we receive His Provision; that is, once we’ve put our faith “in” the Son, we are good with the Father and safe in His Presence for all eternity.
After you’ve listened through or watched the video, I’d like for you to ponder a couple of questions because I believe-with all my heart- that what you do with this is the most important decision a human could ever make in her entire lifetime.
Where are you in relation to “the Tent?” Are you walking around it, admiring it?
Or are you in it experiencing the Light of God even on your darkest days?
Watch the “tent” sermon in its entirety here;
Here’s another one of our favorites; this one expounds on Lloyd’s experience with Holy Spirit who enables us to actually live out love in our every day lives;
And wasn’t it nice of Amy Grant to drop in to record another endorsement just for us? (Actually, it was recorded last year after her interview, which was featured in Ep 12. :-0) http://apple.co/2Df61BO
Thank you for joining us today! Do write in and let me know what you think of this episode!
Till next time,
