Today on the podcast, I’ll do a deeper dive into why I’m feeling so passionate – and convicted- about hospitality, by sharing one particular example of how some Brown people did it for me and my family 45 years ago while on a visit to India. :-0)
I’m pretty sure I consumed enough fruit and nuts and chai for a whole year on that one day. And oh, it was the best chai – I’ve never tasted chai quite that good in my life since or before that day….
As you’re pondering ways you can live out this kind of hospitality, keep in mind, the point is building relationship. I’d love to hear how you do it. pls email me and let me know. Remember- it doesn’t have to be fancy or perfect. It can be simple as a bowl of pistachios and a warm cup of chai.
Here’s a simple recipe for 2 cups; keep in mind, the whole concept of “Clumsy Hospitality” means it doesn’t have to be exact…
-Brew 2 tea bags P&G Tips
-about a teaspoon of cinnamon
-about 1/2 t each; ginger, ground cardamom
-about a C milk (whole or coconut)
-roughly 3 T (or oops- a little too much….) raw honey
Add the last 2 ingredients last. Enjoy! :-0)
Also, (I’m so excited) I am now the proud owner of a new dot com for my new coaching business. :-0) It feels so official like. I’m working on updating my website and a new logo. SO fun!!!
