I’m so excited for you to hear the 2nd half of my conversation with Crystal Paine. Since conducting this interview, I have become an even bigger fan of Crystal and her blog. Her website is moneysavingmom.com and she is the REAL DEAL!!! (haha- she talks about couponing so that pun, albeit not intended, makes me chuckle.)
Today, I reflect on the first part of our conversation. The highlight for me from that half of her interview was hearing Crystal tell us about her experience on the Family Life cruise. She described how hearing the Voice of God singing over her changed her from the inside out. And helped her get her identity straight, which then helped her get her priorities in order and reach out in vulnerability to others.
Have you ever heard the Voice of God delighting over you like she speaks of? You’ll get a kick out of hearing about the time I heard an almost audible voice while I was standing by myself in the kitchen early one morning. It involves a certain would be podcaster having her head buried in a bag of chips…
I also talk about the magic of FROTH, thanks to Crystal- she is the one who turned me on to that. Believe me when I tell you- froth made with vanilla almond milk will take your chai to a “whole nodda lebbel.” 🙂 In fact, for our next heylove contest, we will be giving away a frother!!! That will be coming up soon.
Today on the show, I will tell you how to enter our current contest. If you haven’t experienced a Weekend to Remember yet, you MUST!!! Family Life was kind enough to donate 2 tickets to the podcast so we can send you and your husband to a conference. If your name is drawn, you get to choose your destination. All you gotta do is post a photo of you and your hubby with this hashtag; #heylovegetaway.
Will you choose an event in your city? Or one far away….. hmmmmm….. your decision!
Crystal will tell us about a time she resolved a conflict with a close friend and how the story of Peter’s betrayal of Jesus gave her inspiration and motivation to forgive. She’ll also give us valuable tips on how to confront someone when you feel hurt by something they’ve done or said. And she discusses with passion an ongoing project in a faraway land which she calls her “favorite place on earth.” Read about that here; http://moneysavingmom.com/2015/01/official-im-love-south-africa.html
Just like in the last episode, you will hear a faint voice in the background (that would belong to your host) being picked up on the one mic that’s actually wired….. (that would belong to my guest 🙂 because as I confessed last week, I forgot to plug in my mic but Crystal sounds crystal clear!! Just further proof of my microphone genius expertise!
I take this opportunity (since today, I do have a microphone that’s actually plugged in) to challenge you to pursue a new friendship or deepen one you already treasure. And I also would love for you to consider drawing parameters around your social media intake over these next few weeks leading up to Easter as I am doing. I’m making it a goal to do that this year for Lent. Read my latest blog post to find out why. https://karthimasters.com/category/blog/
