Hey Love, in this episode, I share about my recent blog post explaining why I didn’t attend the Women’s March. Let me know what ya think on facebook and please be kind- I promise to be kind to you too. 🙂 https://karthimasters.com/category/blog/
Also, I recommend a favorite podcast- Java with Juli (whose host is Juli Slattery.) If you like the relational content of this podcast, you’ll love hers- she’s actually got credentials! 🙂
And I’ll introduce you to my guest Courtney Yezerski, who is a lay leader at my church in Franklin, TN. I realize you may not recognize many of the names of the people who appear on this show but I believe as children of God, our stories are universal in so many ways…. Each and every one has a redemptive theme. My prayer is that you are encouraged in your faith every time you tune in.
Courtney talks about why it was hard to place her trust in God as Father as a young believer and later, how she learned how to extend forgiveness by receiving it from her children, of which she has 3- all boys. 🙂
We’ll discuss how she scored on the personality quiz I sent her (write to me on facebook if you’d like to take it!) and she will share how she finally broke free of her “Love ‘em & leave ‘em” defense mechanism she defaulted to for years in all her relationships.
Courtney’s charity of choice is New Hope Academy- this is a place near and dear to my heart as both of my kids went through elementary years there. What a special little school.
A friend of mine, Paige Pitts, is the founder- we are trying to nail down her interview as we speak! I remember when she first started dreaming about a culturally diverse school where there was more than just crisis intervention; she began to investigate innovative methods of prevention and found that education was key. In the early 1990’s, NHA was founded- a Christ centered school where children would be fed a solid biblical worldview and prepared for a life of service.
