Do you have any friends that are just off the charts smart???? I have a handful.
Jill Baird is a researcher, brain scientist, artist, counselor, writer. She is gifted at making any one and every one feel accepted, at home and invited in to a childlike wonder about all that God has created.
She has helped me personally to process my own brokenness and she has counseled me and Blair on marital issues. I think just about every counselor in town has counseled me and Blair on marital issues. :0)
I showed up at Jill’s house an hour too early for the interview. (For me, it was a first!) We laughed about the scheduling mixup, then proceeded to have a rich conversation about the effects that emotional connection has on your brain; just your typical chatter over sweet tea on a sunlit porch on a Tuesday Morning….
Jill shares openly about her own struggles and how those have fueled her passion to help other women find freedom, healing and belovedness in Christ. I love this woman and I was so excited to finally get some time with her, I rushed out the door and left my mic at home! (So professional, I know!!!!!) I did have a mic for my guest though… You’ll hear a whole lotta things during this interview- strange, exotic birds, garbage trucks, crickets (in the middle of the DAY!???- I don’t know….) And somewhere in the episode, you’ll hear a certain podcaster’s husband get in the shower too.
Jill has penned a Bible study that would work well in a small group setting. Soon, she’s going to have a workbook and video series to go with this study. Go check it out at brokenandbeloved.org
If you know someone who might enjoy this episode, can I get you to share it with them? And don’t forget to subscribe if you haven’t already done so.
Just a few ways for you to live out love.
Till next time,
