During this episode, I’ll expound on my goal for the show- which is to share my experience & my hope to encourage you along as some thought paradigms start to shift around the way we do “relationships” here in America. (Ultimately though, I’m doing it for selfish reasons- I love writing about, listening to and sharing stories of redemption!)
Dark Night of the Soul
Against my better PR/Marketing judgement, I’ll share openly with you about some deep dark struggles I’ve had. (This is not typically what they tell us to come out with in the beginning….) but it’s a huge piece of my “why” and if it helps you feel less alone in your trial, I’m all about that.
I touch on how Blair and I have actually enjoyed working together on something for the first time in our (now 27) year marriage! Why people pleasing never works and what opting to NOT get connected in community can lead to. I dream out loud about how awesome it would be if we start small, go deep and reach out to others right where we live.
You’ll hear my lame attempt at imitating an Indian accent, how we listened to vinyl in the late 70’s and how stark the difference was to me as a child watching the women here and the women there in India (where I left a big chunk of my heart.) And I share the only two options an Indian kid has for an occupation.
You’ll hear me talk today and often, about how the Trinity of God is a great example to us of what living interdependently looks like.
I’ll also recommend different podcasts and share my one self imposed rule for my self.
