Today, we’re going to talk about forgiveness with a dear woman and a long time friend- Nan Gurley. Nan is a highly acclaimed, sought after actress, writer, artist, teacher… She’s pretty much a bright and shining rock star to all of us in her Nashville community and beyond. Check out some of her work here.
I’d originally planned on uploading this episode weeks ago, before Nan left town to star in a stage adaptation of “The Hiding Place” which depicts the triumphant story of Corrie ten Boom. She was excitedly preparing for rehearsals at The George, a theater production company in Houston, Texas.
But I messed up the dates and had tech troubles so I had to humbly ask Nan to forgive me as we were discussing this scandalous story (whose theme is none other than- forgiveness….)
Of course, Nan did forgive me for my clumsiness and I think the timing actually turned out to be JUST right for those of us who need to hear a message of its nature at such a time as this.
If, after listening to this episode, you know someone who could benefit from hearing Corrie Ten Boom’s perspective on forgiveness through the voice of Nan Gurley, can I trouble you to please share with them? The Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. And He is mighty to save and change a soul from the inside out. As for me, He has melted a heart of stone and I want everyone to know of His healing power.

Hearing Corrie’s story reminds me of the memorial we visited in Israel- Yad Vashem. Have you been there? Oh, love, you must go. It’s a monument dedicated to all the victims of the Holocaust and it’s just exquisitely done.
Just some ways for you to live out love.
Till next time,
And Remember Betsy ten Boom’s words; “There is no pit so deep that God’s love is not deeper still.”
