Do you struggle with nurturing the creative in you? Or doubt you have a creative bone in your body? Do you think it’s an important thing to explore?
Today on our centennial episode, (!!!!!) we will discuss creativity and community. Actually, this will be the focus for this whole season; maybe for the next year or two! I’ll tell you why I think it’s so important to cultivate these things; especially at such a time as this.
I’ll also announce a creative project I’ve been working on recently (writing a tv pilot!!!- I’m pretty excited!!!) And I’ll be inviting you along for the whole journey from script to pitch to small screen… Is it any good? Will anyone pick it up or buy it or produce it???? Will we actually ever get to see it on tv???? I have NO idea! But I’m sure gonna try.
Here’s a list of the tv shows and films we’ve
enjoyed been hooked on through the isolation period.
And here’s one we just started watching;
(Please note; there is language and innuendo in the first two shows I’ve listed here. I suggest you get a filter like https://www.vidangel.com/ especially if you’ll be watching with your kiddos. :-0)
Join a small army of investors who want more control of what they watch;
https://www.calledhigherstudios.com/ whose founders we’ll be hearing from soon right here in a few weeks.
I’ve had you in mind as I’ve been interviewing friends – some old and some new- each of them has something unique to offer. No matter what your creative bent, you will find inspiration in the conversations around this table…. We’re out to nurture the creative in YOU!
Up next time, on our 101st episode, is Steve Taylor, who brought us “Blue Like Jazz” Don Miller’s movie… and before that, Steve had many fresh musical offerings that were groundbreaking. You’ll love hearing from Steve; he’s a professor now at Lipscomb.
We’ll also be hearing from some of the writers of The Chosen this fall- so ya better go on and subscribe to this podcast RIGHT NOW!!! and as always, if you’d like to explore creativity with an Alongsider, email me; firstname.lastname@example.org
Till next time,
Paul tells us in Eph 2:10, “He created us to join Him in the work He does; the creative work He has gotten ready for us to do- the good work we had better be doing.”
